Alan Rivera

Alan Rivera has a diverse work experience in engineering roles. Alan started their career at Schlumberger as a Production Intern, where they supported production activities and created work instructions. Alan then became a Production Engineer, responsible for conducting root-cause analysis on production defects and maintaining CNC programs. After that, they joined Dematic as a Mechatronic Commissioning Engineer, where they analyzed engineering designs, coordinated project segments, and tested systems. Alan later transitioned to the role of Controls Systems Engineer at Dematic, participating in system design and providing support in material specification and customer satisfaction improvement. Currently, they are an Advanced PLC Integration Specialist Engineer at Symbotic, where they commission and configures PLCs, connects HMIs with PLCs, loads software, and conducts commissioning tests.

Alan Rivera obtained an Engineer's degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering from Universidad Regiomontana S.C. from 2009 to 2014. In addition, they have obtained various certifications including Learning PLC Ladder Logic from LinkedIn in October 2022, First Aid Responder from Cruz Roja Mexicana I.A.P. in March 2017, Qualified Electrical Worker from Dematic in January 2017, Aerial Boomlift & Scissor Lift Operator from United Rentals in August 2016, Academic English Program from The University of Texas at Austin in August 2015, and English as a Second Language from The University of Texas at Austin in June 2015.
