Geoffrey Lansberry

Geoffrey Lansberry has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Geoffrey currently holds the position of Director of Robotic Software Engineering at Symbotic since May 2021. Previously, they worked as a Senior Staff Engineer at the Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering from February 2018 to June 2021, where they were responsible for designing, fabricating, testing, and optimizing biologically-inspired electrical systems.

Geoffrey also has experience with startups, having served as an Advisor at Kuvée from November 2017 to February 2018 and as a Co-Founder and Engineering Guy at Kuvée from June 2014 to November 2017.

Prior to that, they worked at iRobot in various roles, including Principal Engineer from June 2013 to June 2014, Innovation Director from April 2012 to June 2013, and Senior Lead Engineer in the Home Robots Division from July 2010 to April 2012. Geoffrey'sresponsibilities at iRobot included enhancing innovation performance and leading engineering teams.

Before joining iRobot, Geoffrey had their own business as the Owner of Geoffrey Lansberry P.E. in May 2010. Geoffrey also gained engineering experience at QinetiQ North America as a Senior Engineer from December 2006 to June 2010, at Foster-Miller, Inc. as a Senior Engineer from December 2006 to May 2009, at Premium Power Corporation as VP Engineering from July 2002 to November 2006.

Geoffrey'searly career includes roles such as Manager of Applications Engineering at SatCon Technology Corporation, where they acted as a customer interface for a power inverter product from an undisclosed start date to 2002, and as a Senior Engineer at SatCon from an undisclosed start date to 2002.

Geoffrey Lansberry's education history begins with their high school graduation from Hamden High School in 1986. Geoffrey pursued their undergraduate degree at Lehigh University from 1986 to 1990, majoring in Electrical Engineering and earning a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE). After completing their bachelor's degree, they went on to further their education at The Johns Hopkins University from 1991 to 1995, where they earned a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) with a specialization in Control Systems. In 2008, Geoffrey Lansberry enrolled at Tufts University and attended the Gordon Institute Engineering Management program for two years, obtaining a Master of Science in Engineering Management (MSEM) in 2010. Additionally, in September 2018, they completed the CITI Training for Biomedical Researchers certification.
