Giles Gilbert has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Giles started their career as a Software Engineer at Autodesk, Inc. in 1994, where they worked on installation, low-level functionality, and served as a technical advisor. Giles was awarded for their outstanding achievements during this time.

In 1996, Giles took on the role of a Software Engineer at Autodesk, Inc. again, focusing on structural features and expanding the public COM API for ADT. Giles also served as a technical advisor for Windows and MFC.

From 1998 to 2003, Giles worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Autodesk, Inc., receiving two more outstanding achievement awards. During this time, they worked on various design and implementation projects, such as worksets and collaboration features, group features, and massing features.

In 2003, Giles assumed the role of Development Manager and Principal Software Engineer at Autodesk, Inc., where they created a public API for Revit and managed a team in China to expand the API. Giles also collaborated with key partners to develop applications ready for the API launch.

From 2008 to 2010, Giles worked as a Project Manager, Performance Analyst, and Architect at Autodesk, Inc., overseeing a performance project and focusing on improving product startup, user interface response, and file load time.

In 2010, Giles became a Technical Manager and Software Architect at Autodesk, Inc., responsible for creating a slimmed-down version of Revit for conceptual design and enhancing user workflow. Giles also added server-side services to the platform.

Starting in 2013, Giles took on the role of Task Manager and Architect at Autodesk, Inc., where they created a platform architecture that could be used by various devices and provided server-side services. Giles utilized scripting and visual programming for this project.

In 2014, Giles joined Coventor, Inc. as a Software Development Staff Engineer, working on user interface features using Qt within an Agile environment. Giles also handled goal setting and cross-platform development for Linux and Windows.

In 2015, Giles took on the role of Principal at Sovos Compliance, where they coordinated efforts between various departments to ensure the success of the company's flagship SaaS solution. Giles also guided and mentored a team of developers, product managers, and product owners.

Lastly, Giles currently works at Symbotic as a Senior Software Architect, a position they have held since August 2021.

Giles Gilbert obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from the University of Bristol between 1990 and 1993.
