Joshua Brea has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Joshua started their career in 2003 as an Information Systems Technician in the US Navy, where they worked until 2008. In 2009, they joined C-Innovation, LLC as a Subsea Robotics / Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) Pilot Technician before moving on to CSL Aberdeen in 2011, where they served as a Subsea Robotics / ROV Senior Pilot Technician/Supervisor. In 2014, they joined Delta Subsea as a Subsea Robotics / ROV Supervisor.

In 2018, Joshua Brea transitioned to a new field and took on the role of Automation Systems Operator at Symbotic. Joshua then advanced to the position of Associate System Engineer, followed by System Engineer. In 2021, they became the Automation General Manager and in 2022 they were promoted to Manager, Customer Performance. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Manager, Customer Performance at Symbotic, where they are responsible for driving site performance, cross-functional problem solving, and coordination, as well as engineering change management at customer sites. Joshua leads a team of engineers focused on improving and optimizing the Symbotic automation system's performance through analysis, problem-solving, process improvement, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Joshua Brea completed their education at the California Institute of Arts & Technology, where they obtained an Associate of Arts and Sciences - AAS degree in Computer Information Systems in 2017. Prior to that, they earned an Associate's degree in Information Technology from the University of Phoenix in 2012. Additionally, Joshua obtained a certification as a Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician (CCENT) from Cisco in July 2017.
