Kunlei Lian

Kunlei Lian is a highly accomplished principal research scientist at Symbotic, specializing in fleet orchestration and tasking since December 2024. Prior to this role, Kunlei served as principal data scientist and associate director at Marriott Vacations Worldwide, focusing on marketing campaign optimization, owner propensity modeling, and forecasting. Previously, Kunlei spent over seven years at Walmart in various roles, including principal data scientist, where oversight of order optimization initiatives significantly improved supply chain efficiencies. Kunlei holds a Ph.D. in industrial engineering from the University of Arkansas, as well as both a master’s and a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology.
