Principal Mechanical Designer at Symbotic

Mark Jodoin has gained extensive work experience in various roles and industries throughout their career. Starting in 1989, they worked at Palmer Manufacturing as a Draftsmen and NC programmer. Mark then joined Middlesex General Industries in 1993, where they served as a Designer/Engineering and later as a Supply Chain/Procurement Associate. In 1999, they became the Electro-Mechanical Manufacturing Supervisor at Middlesex General Industries.

In 2003, Mark transitioned to a new company, Middlesex General Industries, where they took on multiple roles, including Production Manager, Automation Business Development & Systems Engineer, and Electromechanical Designer & Project Manager. During this time, they also acted as the Boston Chapter VP of Marketing for Boston APICS, where they focused on increasing the organization's visibility in the Boston community.

In 2010, Mark joined ISPE Boston Area Chapter as a Member and later served on the Education Planning Committee. In 2012, they also became a Principal Mechanical Designer at Symbotic, where they were responsible for new development and product sustaining for large project-based material handling systems.

Throughout their career, Mark has demonstrated proficiency in designing and configuring large structural and electro-mechanical assemblies, creating bills of materials (BOM), and utilizing software such as ProE, AutoCAD, and Arena MRP.

Mark Jodoin's education history is as follows:

- 1988-2019: Mark earned an Engineer's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Lowell.

- 1985-1988: Mark studied Mechanical Design at Northeast.

- 2008-2014: Mark pursued Biomedical and Clinical Research at Boston University.

- 2014: Mark completed the course "Genomic Medicine Gets Personal MEDX202-01" from EdX GeorgetownX.

- 2014: Mark also took a course in Linear Algebra from EdX.

- 2015: Mark obtained a Certificate in Introduction to Bioethics (PHLX101-02x) from EdX GeorgetownX (Kennedy Institute of Ethics at Georgetown).

Additionally, Mark has certifications in the following:

- CSWA in Solidworks, obtained in May 2015 from the Solidworks institution.

- AutoCad Electrical Introduction 2014, obtained in October 2013.

- Advanced Pro-Engineer Modelling, obtained in July 2012 from PTC.
