Jason Payne

Jason Payne is an experienced IT professional with over two decades in the field, currently serving as a Tier 2 IT Support Specialist at Symcor since November 2001. In this role, Jason provides 24x7 support for cheque image archive services utilized by major Canadian banks, working on AIX, Linux, and Solaris platforms. Prior to this, Jason held positions in various geological roles, including Senior Systems Operator at Newcourt/CIT, where responsibilities included documentation creation and training staff, as well as project and exploration geology positions with companies such as Cogema Resources and Placer Dome. Jason holds a BSc in Honours Earth Sciences from the University of Waterloo, earned between 1988 and 1994.
