Russell Thomas

Russell Thomas is the Head of Business Development at Symeres since January 2020, where responsibilities include fostering R&D relationships with global partners in Pharma, Biotech, and academia. Prior to this role, Russell served as the Director of Strategic Alliances and Director of Discovery Research at Axxam S.p.A, managing integrated services and international partnerships in small molecule discovery. Russell's experience also includes roles as Managing Director and Executive Management Consultant at Siena Biotech, Vice President of Lead Discovery at Proteros Biostructures, and various positions at Siena Biotech and Evotec, focusing on project operations, alliances, and medicinal chemistry. Russell holds a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Exeter and a B.Sc. in Chemistry from the University of Kent.
