Alain Wauters

Alain Wauters is a seasoned IT executive with extensive experience in infrastructure, operations, and information security. Currently serving as CIO and CISO at Symeta Hybrid nv since April 2021, Alain Wauters focuses on driving IT strategy and ensuring ISO 27000 compliance. Prior roles include Director of IT Infrastructure and Operations at Partena Professional and various leadership positions at Nokia from 1996 to 2019, where responsibilities spanned IT infrastructure, digital workplace transformation, network services, and major business changes related to M&A. Alain Wauters began a career in telecommunications with roles at Telecom Italia and ING and holds multiple master’s degrees in Information Management and Engineering.
