Sheena Omatsu

Sheena Omatsu, PHR, SHRM-CP, currently serves as a Senior Human Resources Business Partner at Symetra since July 2018, overseeing company-wide HR initiatives including performance management and workforce planning. Prior to this role, Omatsu was a Senior Human Resources Business Partner at Virginia Mason Medical Center from April 2014 to July 2018, where collaboration with HR partners focused on aligning workforce strategies with organizational goals. With earlier experience as a Human Resources Manager at Emeritus and other HR-related positions, Omatsu has developed expertise in employee relations, policy interpretation, recruitment, and training. Educational qualifications include a BA in Human Services with an emphasis in Human Resources from Western Washington University and a professional certification in HR (PHR) from Seattle Pacific University.
