Lea McMahon is the Chief Clinical Officer at Symetria Recovery. Lea has extensive experience in executive leadership roles in healthcare startups, including serving as Vice President of Compliance and Clinical Services at Groups Recover Together from September 2017 to August 2021. In this role, they were responsible for building and overseeing multiple cross-functional teams, developing a cost-effective compliance and quality program, leading the company's voluntary accreditation effort, and securing state licensure in 12 additional states. Lea also served as interim COO and Director of Human Resources, and as VP of Clinical Services, overseeing the clinical team and growing the census from 500 members to 7000 members. In response to the pandemic, they developed a virtual treatment model and led the transition to virtual services for the entire organization.

Lea also has certification from Duke University in Narrative Learning, Online Learning Accessibility, Teaching Online, The Technology of Online Learning, and Introduction to Online Studies. In addition, they have certification from Aveta Business Institute in Six Sigma White Belt and is licensed as a Professional Counselor by both the Texas and Louisiana Boards of Examiners.
