Jesper Buchhave Poulsen

Jesper Buchhave Poulsen has a strong background in scientific research and development. Jesper Buchhave worked as a Senior Scientist at Symphogen since November 2018, where they directed the development, characterization, validation, and scale-up of downstream processes for pre-clinical and clinical productions. Jesper Buchhave also performed technology transfers for external production and implemented process changes.

Prior to that, Jesper worked as a Senior Development Scientist at Novo Nordisk from August 2015 to October 2018. In this role, they optimized and validated downstream purification processes, performed technology transfers, and prepared documents for product approval.

Before joining Novo Nordisk, Jesper was a Chemist at Statens Serum Institut from August 2013 to July 2015. Jesper Buchhave supported research projects by collecting and analyzing data from newborn screening samples and developed a high-throughput pipeline for sample extraction.

Jesper's work experience also includes roles as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Aarhus Universitet. From May 2011 to April 2013, they molecularly cloned, expressed, and purified proteins, and characterized enzymes and protein complexes. Jesper Buchhave also prepared scientific presentations for group meetings and conferences during this time.

Jesper Buchhave Poulsen has an extensive education history in the field of Molecular Biology and Genetics. Jesper Buchhave obtained their PhD from Aarhus University, Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics, from 2006 to 2010. Prior to that, they completed their Master of Science (MSc) degree in the same department, from 2005 to 2008. Jesper's educational journey began at Aarhus University, where they earned their Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Molecular Biology and Genetics, spanning the period from 2002 to 2005.

Before attending Aarhus University, Jesper attended Morsø High School, where they obtained a Mathematical exam from 1997 to 2000.

Aside from their academic achievements, Jesper also holds a certification in "Viral Safety for Biologics" from Symmetric, which they obtained in June 2019.
