Dr. Jose Leonardo Leon

Dr. Jose Leonardo Leon is an accomplished musician and educator currently serving as an Assistant Professor of Music Entrepreneurship and Applied Trombone at Florida Atlantic University's College of Arts and Letters, where Dr. Jose Leonardo also founded and coordinates the Arts & Performance Entrepreneurship Initiative. With extensive experience as a performing artist, Dr. Leon holds positions with Conn-Selmer, Inc. and the Symphony of the Americas, while previously playing as a Bass Trombonist for the Florida Grand Opera. Academic roles include Adjunct Professor of Trombone at multiple institutions and Applied Faculty of Trombone at Florida Gulf Coast University. Dr. Leon earned a Doctor of Musical Arts in Brass Performance and Pedagogy from the University of Colorado Boulder and has a rich educational background in music performance and pedagogy from prestigious universities, including the University of Miami and Florida International University.
