Andrea Roedig-Penman has extensive experience in the food and beverage industry, working in various roles throughout their career. Andrea is currently the Vice President of Technical Management Food & Beverages EAME at Symrise AG, where they oversee flavor creation, product application, and project management within the Beverages Business Unit. Prior to this, they worked as the Technical Director of BU Beverages EAME at Symrise AG, leading and managing all aspects of flavor creation and product application.

Before joining Symrise AG, Andrea was the R&D Manager at HOMANN Feinkost GmbH, where they were responsible for leading salad, dressing, and value engineering teams. Andrea also developed innovation strategies, managed projects, and focused on people development within the R&D department.

In addition, Andrea served as the R&D and Central Quality Manager at riha-WeserGold Getränke GmbH & Co.KG, where they led a team of 20 people and managed a project portfolio covering non-alcoholic beverages. Andrea was also responsible for quality assurance, packaging, and quality control across multiple plants.

Prior to that, they held various roles at FrieslandCampina, including NPD Department Manager for Yoghurts & Dessert Benelux, NPD Platform leader for Health & Energy, and NPD Platform leader for Drinks. In these positions, they managed teams, collaborated with different departments, and developed product strategies based on consumer trends and scientific research.

Andrea began their career as a Senior Scientist at GlaxoSmithKline, working on new product development of nutritional drinks. Andrea later worked as a Food Technologist at Kerry Ingredients, where they focused on new product development and food chemistry applications.

With their diverse background in R&D, project management, and leadership, Andrea Roedig-Penman brings a wealth of experience to the food and beverage industry.

Andrea Roedig-Penman completed their PhD in Food Science from the University of Reading from 1995 to 1997. Prior to that, they obtained their Diplom in Chemie from the Universitaet Wuerzburg from 1988 to 1994.
