Dr. Christian Koch

Dr. Christian Koch has a diverse work experience in the field of data engineering and analytics. Dr. Christian is currently serving as the Head of Data Engineering & Analytics at Symrise AG since October 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a Lecturer at FOM Hochschule für Oekonomie & Management starting from September 2022.

Dr. Koch also held various managerial roles at LANXESS, where they were responsible for data management and analytics in the Corporate Development & dLX department from January 2020 to September 2023. Dr. Christian also served as a Manager of Data Science in the dLX Data Management & Analytics team from November 2018 to December 2020.

Dr. Christian Koch began their professional career as an Associate Researcher and Ph.D. Candidate at Technische Universität Darmstadt. Dr. Christian worked in this role from January 2014 to August 2018 and was involved in various research projects. Additionally, they gained experience as an IT Administrator at WifOR from June 2011 to March 2013.

These include the Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate certification from Microsoft, the Academy Accreditation - Databricks Lakehouse Fundamentals certification and the Academy Accreditation - Platform Administrator certification from Databricks, and the Google Project Management Certificate from Google.
