Tom Herlihy is a Senior Engineer and Composting Consultant with over 30 years of experience in large-scale agriculturally-based projects. They founded Worm Power, the largest earthworm composting company in the US, and have held various roles, including International Agricultural Extension Agent and Senior Technical Manager. Tom has served as the Primary Investigator on over 20 peer-reviewed research projects and is known for contributions to waste processing technologies in agriculture. Currently, they are the Director of Compost Operations at Synagro, overseeing compost operations for the largest biosolids composting company in the country. Tom holds a Master's degree in Agricultural and Biological Engineering from Penn State University and a Bachelor's degree in Physics from Wittenberg University.
