Jonathan Segal

Jonathan Segal is an experienced software engineer with a strong background in video services and software development. Currently serving as a Video Services Senior Software Engineer at Synamedia since March 2010, Jonathan designs, implements, troubleshoots, and supports microservice and cloud-based systems for video service providers. Prior experience includes roles at Cisco, where Jonathan worked as a Software Engineer focusing on full stack embedded software integration for consumer-premises equipment, and managed development processes for embedded software components. Jonathan also held positions as a Senior Scientific Software Engineer at Genizon Biosciences and as a Senior/Principal Software Engineer and Group Leader at Genome Therapeutics, where Jonathan led teams to develop high-throughput analysis tools. Additionally, Jonathan has experience as a Senior Software Engineer at Softel Inc. and has held roles at the International Computer Science Institute and Oracle Corporation. Jonathan holds a Master’s degree in Linguistics from the University of California, Berkeley, and an AB in Mathematics from Harvard University.
