Mike Miller

Mike Miller has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Mike is currently working at Synamedia as a Principal Engineer, where they started in June 2018. Prior to this, they held the role of Senior Manager Security Research from May 2022 to June 2023 and Senior Lead Software Engineer from September 2018 to April 2022.

Before joining Synamedia, Mike worked at Icosa Foundation as a Software Developer since January 2021. Prior to that, they were employed at Cisco Systems from July 2013 to August 2018, serving as a Real-Time / Embedded Developer and Subsystem Architect for Metadata Information.

Earlier in their career, Mike worked at NDS Technologies Israel Limited as a Real-Time / Embedded Developer from June 2006 to July 2013. Mike was responsible for PC-based testing environments using SWIG and Python wrappers, as well as developing a Linux kernel module for direct access to physical memory addresses.

Prior to NDS Technologies, Mike worked at NDS Group as a QC Engineer from July 2004 to June 2006. Mike designed and implemented testing tools for embedded systems and provided on-site support and testing assistance to other company offices overseas.

Before their roles at NDS, Mike worked at SciTech Strategies as a Programmer/System Administrator from March 2003 to August 2004. Mike also served as a Teaching Assistant/System Administrator at Rutgers College of Engineering from September 2002 to May 2003, where they deployed and administered a Beowulf cluster.

Mike began their career as a Student Intern at Princeton Plasma Physics Lab from June 2001 to September 2002, where they administered a Beowulf cluster and developed hardware/software systems for display wall projectors.

Lastly, they gained early experience as a Student Intern at Army Research Lab from June 1996 to June 1998, where they developed simulations and designed departmental web pages to analyze the effectiveness of acoustic tracking algorithms.

Mike Miller obtained a B.Sc. degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering from Rutgers University, where they studied from 2000 to 2003. Prior to that, they attended Yeshiva University from 1998 to 2000, studying pre-engineering.
