Tim Trew

Tim Trew has extensive work experience in various roles within the technology industry. Tim is currently employed at Synamedia as a Principal Solutions Architect since 2018. Before that, they worked at NDS Limited for several years, starting as a Systems Architect in 2011 and transitioning to a Software Architect role in 2013. Prior to that, they worked at Virage Logic as a Fellow from 2009 to 2010, where they were involved in audio processing component integration and competitor analysis. Tim also worked at NXP Semiconductors as a Research Fellow from 2007 to 2009, contributing to the development of embedded software architectures and model-driven software development. Before that, Tim worked at Philips Research Laboratories for a significant period of time, holding various positions including Research Fellow, Principal Engineer, Senior Engineer, and Research Scientist. Tim was involved in projects related to software maintainability, architectural integration, and HDTV technology. Tim also had brief roles as a Project Leader at Philips Applied Technologies and Philips Digital Systems Labs in 2002.

Tim Trew attended Tonbridge School from 1971 to 1977. Tim then pursued a BSc(Eng) degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from the University of Bristol from 1977 to 1980.
