Neha Verma, Ph.D.

Neha Verma, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Neha started their career as a Research Fellow at APCoAB in 2007 before earning their Ph.D. as a Research Scholar at ICRISAT. Following their Ph.D., Neha became a Post-Doc Fellow at the University of Saskatchewan from 2012 to 2015. Neha then joined Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada as a PRP Research Scientist from 2016 to 2018. Neha further expanded their expertise as a Genomics Specialist in Sales at D-Mark Biosciences from 2019 to 2020. In 2021, they shifted into the fields of sales and marketing as a Sales and Marketing Specialist at a Biotech Company, and later joined MEDGENOME as a Research Scientist - NGS. Neha has also held positions as a Senior Scientist at Genentech and Sr Scientist at Startup SynGene. Neha is currently working as a Business Development Manager at Synbio Technologies since 2023. Throughout their career, Neha has demonstrated proficiency in single-cell genomics technologies, molecular screening, and discovery science applications.

Neha Verma, Ph.D. completed their education in a chronological manner, starting with their Bachelor's degree from Hansraj College, where they studied Botany Hons, Biochemistry & Genetics, from 2002 to 2005. Following this, they pursued a Master's degree in Microbiology and Immunology at Barkatullah Vishwavidyalaya from 2005 to 2007. Lastly, they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Plant Biotechnology from ICRISAT, where they studied from 2008 to 2012.
