Azad Gucwa

Azad Gucwa, Ph.D., MT(ASCP), is a seasoned expert in applications science and cytogenetics, currently serving as a Senior Applications Specialist at Syncell Inc since October 2024. Previously, Gucwa held positions as a Senior Field Application Scientist and Field Application Scientist at Mission Bio, where responsibilities included providing training and support for single cell genome sequencing and multi-omics workflows, along with expertise in experimental design and data analysis in oncology and gene therapy. Gucwa's background includes roles as a Cytogenetic Technologist at Cytogenx Corp and Enzo Life Sciences, with significant contributions in molecular diagnostics and advanced testing methodologies for cancer assays. Gucwa also has a strong academic foundation, having served as an Assistant Professor at Farmingdale State College and Long Island University, and conducting graduate research focused on genetic mechanisms. Gucwa earned a Ph.D. in Genetics and possesses advanced degrees in Human Cytogenetics and Clinical Laboratory Science.
