Nikhil Rao

Nikhil Rao, PhD, currently serves as the Senior Vice President of Commercial at Syncell Inc., a position held since August 2024. Prior experience includes roles at 10x Genomics from April 2019 to August 2024, culminating as Vice President of Spatial Biology Business, and earlier positions in strategic and product marketing. Prior to this, Nikhil held various positions at BD from November 2014 to February 2020, including Global Senior Product Marketing Manager focusing on Single Cell Multiomics, and Global Product Marketing Manager for Single Cell Genomics. Nikhil began a career at the University of California, San Diego, as a PhD Graduate Student Researcher and completed a summer internship in R&D Tech Development at Asuragen, Inc. Nikhil holds a PhD in Bioengineering from UC San Diego and a B.S. in Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University.
