Ed Ames

Ed Ames, PMP, is currently the VP of Data Center Operations at Synchrony Financial, bringing over 30 years of experience in data center operations and management. Previously, Ed held significant roles at Meta, including Data Center Operations Services Lead, where Ed oversaw critical operations for a hyper-scale data center. At UT Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas, Ed served as Assistant Vice President and Director of Systems and Data Center Operations, providing strategic IT leadership and managing a substantial budget. Ed also gained early experience as Software Systems Supervisor at the same institution, contributing to key IT initiatives. Ed is pursuing a Bachelor of Science at The University of Texas at Arlington.
