Kate Butler

Kate Butler is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in leadership roles across various companies. Currently serving as CFO and Group Finance Director at Syncona Limited since September 2022, Kate previously held the position of Chief Financial Officer at Awakn Life Sciences from November 2021 to July 2022. Prior to that, Kate was the Group Financial Controller at Vectura Group plc from December 2019 to November 2021 and Head of Finance for Kite Europe at Kite Pharma from July 2018 to December 2019. Kate's career includes significant roles at Gilead Sciences, where responsibilities encompassed Senior Director and Associate Director positions, as well as a Group Financial Reporting Manager role at Anglo American. Kate began their career at EY, advancing to Senior Manager before transitioning to industry roles.
