Varun Gupta

Varun Gupta has a diverse work experience in various engineering and development roles. Varun is currently working as the Director of Engineering at Syndigo since 2018. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Engineering at Nutritionix from 2015 to 2018, where they played a key role in building and delivering a natural language engine for nutrition information. Varun has also worked as a Software Engineer at LeapYear Innovations in 2015, and at Shroudbase, where they contributed to the development of a platform for creating de-identified copies of sensitive data. Varun has also gained experience through internships at Edmodo, PeopleLinx, and LCC, where they were involved in Android development, software development, and cellular data analysis, respectively. Additionally, they have worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Pennsylvania, focusing on machine learning and big data projects.

Varun Gupta holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Science in Networks and Social Systems Engineering, also from the University of Pennsylvania. Varun completed their secondary education at James Madison High School.
