Abel Lenz

Principal Designer at Syndio

Abel Lenz has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Most recently, they have worked at Syndio as a Principal Designer and Product Design Consultant, where they focused on analyzing and improving equal pay, pay policy, representation, and career paths for women and minorities. Prior to that, Abel was a Co-Founder at Racket, a startup where they co-designed a SwiftUI desktop/mobile app and WebRTC platform for audio communication in remote teams. Abel also developed the brand and wrote a patent for the company. Abel has also worked at All Turtles as a Design/UX professional and at Big Spaceship as a UX Director on a freelance basis. Abel has also co-founded companies such as Opticlose and Tapraise. Additionally, Abel has held significant roles at Patch.com as an Executive Creative Director, leading various strategic redesign and pivot projects, and at Miami Ad School as a Teacher. Abel started their career at HUGE Inc. as an Associate Experience Director and later joined R/GA as an Interaction Design Director, leading a team and working on projects for the Verizon account, as well as notable projects for HBO, Nike, Acuvue, and Zyrtec.

Abel Lenz attended the Massachusetts College of Art and Design from 1993 to 1998. During this time, they pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design.
