Eric de Groh has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the pharmaceutical and research fields. Eric is currently working as a Principal Clinical Research Scientist at Syner-G BioPharma Group since September 2022. Prior to this, they held positions at Apellis Pharmaceuticals as an Associate Director in Medical Writing from February 2022 to May 2022, and as a Senior Manager in Medical Writing from November 2020 to February 2022.

Before joining Apellis Pharmaceuticals, Eric worked at Syneos Health as a Senior Medical Writer from October 2019 to November 2020. Eric'sprevious experience includes roles at Abeona Therapeutics, where they served as an Associate Director and Senior Manager in Regulatory Affairs, as well as an Associate in Regulatory Affairs, from January 2019 to May 2019, August 2018 to December 2018, and December 2017 to July 2018, respectively.

Prior to their time at Abeona Therapeutics, Eric worked at Medpace as a Regulatory Affairs Associate from October 2015 to December 2017, and as a Medical Writer from May 2014 to September 2015. Eric also has experience as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Pennsylvania from January 2011 to April 2014, where they conducted research in neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1) using zebrafish models.

Eric's earlier experience includes their role as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Pittsburgh from May 2006 to December 2010, where they focused on investigating compounds and collaborating with medicinal chemists to improve their bioactivity in relation to kidney organogenesis in larval zebrafish.

Eric de Groh has an extensive education history in the field of biology. Eric completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Biology at West Virginia University from 1994 to 1998. Eric then pursued a Master of Science (MS) in Medical Sciences at the University of South Florida from 2003 to 2005. Eric later obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Molecular Biology from the University of Pittsburgh, where they studied from 2006 to 2010.
