Suzanne Barnette

Suzanne Barnette, MS, SHRM-CP has a diverse range of work experience, spanning over 24 years. Suzanne currently holds the position of Vice President Human Resources at Synergy Health Partners since June 2020. Prior to this, they worked at Synergy Surgicalists, Inc. for four years, where they held the role of VP Marketing and Human Resources. Suzanne was responsible for managing corporate marketing activities, providing resource support to local healthcare facility marketing departments, and overseeing HR functions for a virtual team. Suzanne also implemented and managed the HR data management system and created structured onboarding and offboarding processes.

Before joining Synergy Surgicalists, Inc., Suzanne worked at Uncork-it, Inc. for two years as a Public Relations and Operations specialist. From 2010 to 2014, they served as the VP of Marketing and Public Relations at Tuck Chiropractic Clinic, where they provided marketing and PR support for multiple clinics and supported Foley Health and Fitness Training.

Early in their career, Suzanne worked at Montgomery Regional Hospital for ten years, holding various roles. Suzanne was the Administrative Director of Medical Education, where they developed the osteopathic internship and residency program in collaboration with VCOM. Suzanne also served as the Director of Marketing and Public Relations, handling marketing and PR initiatives for the hospital.

Suzanne Barnette, MS, SHRM-CP completed their education with a Master's degree in Community Health Education and Exercise Physiology from Virginia Tech, earning their degree between 1987 and 1994. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor's degree in Health with a Science Concentration from the University of Richmond, graduating between 1983 and 1987. Suzanne has also acquired additional certifications, including the SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) from SHRM in November 2020, and a Great Managers Catalyst Badge from LifeLabs Learning, obtained in 2023.
