Crystal Derstine

Crystal Derstine has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. Crystal started their career as an Applications Programmer at Xetex Business Systems, where they programmed feature additions to the Xetex Xebra warehouse inventory management system. Crystal also maintained client-specific versions of the system and created a quoting module. Crystal then worked as a Programmer at Rees Scientific, where they developed feature additions to the Rees Centron Presidio environmental monitoring system and created a real-time data output graph.

Crystal later joined CRF Health as an Application Specialist, delivering ePRO studies for clinical trials and writing SDLC requirements specifications. Crystal then moved on to Pulse Technologies as an I.T. Sr Software Developer, working with SQL Server, C# ASP.NET MVC, and Entity Framework.

At IQVIA, Crystal served as a Sr. Software Engineer, programming AWS lambda functions in Python and developing tools to assist the DevOps team. Crystal then joined JPMorgan Chase & Co. as an Associate Software Engineer, focusing on Big Data Hadoop ETL processes using HQL and SQL in an XML wrapper for consumption through Apache Spark.

Crystal's most recent role was at auticon US as a Software Engineer, where they tested and maintained a Java REST API and promoted code to higher environments. Currently, they are working at Synergy Resources as an ERP Developer / Technical Consultant.

Crystal Derstine attended Lehigh Carbon Community College from 2005 to 2007, where they studied Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies. Afterward, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science at Kutztown University of Pennsylvania from 2007 to 2009.
