Lead Microbiologist at Synexis BioDefense System

Robyn Kelly has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the field of microbiology and genetics. Robyn is currently working as a Quality Assurance Specialist III at Excite Pharma Services since February 2022. Prior to this, Robyn held the position of Lead Microbiologist at Synexis Biodefense starting from October 2017.

From November 2013 to October 2016, Robyn worked as a Staff Scientist - Bacteriology at MRIGlobal. In this role, they served as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for microbiology and bacteriology and performed select agent work within a BSL-3 laboratory. Robyn also developed standardized procedures for preparing and characterizing Category A-C agents for in vivo exposures.

Before MRIGlobal, Robyn was a Microbiologist at the University of Multispectral Laboratories from May 2009 to December 2012. Robyn also worked as a Microbiologist at Oklahoma State University during the same period, where they served as the primary BSL-3 microbiologist, managing assay development, inventory control, and waste.

Additionally, Robyn has experience as an Adjunct Professor at Oklahoma State University Institute Of Technology from August 2008 to December 2009, where they taught nursing students courses such as Human Anatomy, Human Physiology, and General Microbiology.

Their earliest work experience was as a Biochemical Genetics Lab Technician at the Center for Genetic Testing from May 2007 to May 2009. Robyn was responsible for setting up and validating instruments, conducting sample extractions, and ensuring quality control and assurance for the laboratory.
