David Pierson

David Pierson is currently the Managing Director at Syngenta Group Ventures, focusing on startup through growth equity stage venture capital investments in life science, digital, and information technology. He has extensive experience serving on the Board of Directors for various companies in locations such as Los Angeles, CA, Emeryville, CA, Durham, NC, and internationally in places like Sao Paulo, Brazil and Buenos Aires, Argentina. Prior to his current role, David worked as a Partner at Intersouth Partners, making early stage venture capital investments in life science and IT. Additionally, he has held leadership positions in companies such as NPS Pharmaceuticals, Pharmacia, Inc., Johnson & Johnson, and Ortho Biotech. David holds a Master's Degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering.
