Dr George Stavrides

Dr. George Stavrides has extensive experience in the agricultural sector, currently serving as the Global Product Management Lead for Biocontrols at Syngenta since May 2008, where accountability includes the global biocontrol portfolio and the development of its strategy. Previously, Dr. Stavrides held several key positions at Syngenta, such as Global Product Manager for Disease Control, where the first global Syngenta biofungicide was launched, and Global Strategy and Operations Manager for Insect Control, with responsibilities including leading the Neonicotinoids Intelligence Team. Earlier career roles included a Global Regulatory Manager position for Disease Control and New Technologies and a Registration Specialist at Yasoo Health. Education credentials include a PhD in Genomics from the University of Cambridge, an MBA from the INSEAD-Wharton MBA Alliance program, an MSc in Molecular Medicine from the Royal Postgraduate Medical School, and a BSc in Biochemistry from Imperial College London.
