Nicolas Barbier

Nicolas Barbier is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in the automation and engineering sectors. Since July 2009, Nicolas has served as Site Engineering Manager at Syngenta, overseeing maintenance and engineering for the production site in Monthey, managing a team of 100 technicians and engineers. Prior to this role, Nicolas was the Automation Group Leader at Syngenta, responsible for all aspects of electricity, instrumentation, automation, and industrial computing with a team of 35 engineers and technicians. Nicolas's career also includes a tenure at Renault Group from 2001 to 2009 as the Automation Manager for central engineering, focusing on automation for manufacturing lines of engine and gearbox components. Educational qualifications include a diploma in Mechanical Engineering and Automation from INSA Rennes and an Erasmus exchange program at Luleå University of Technology.
