Dierck Segelke has a strong background in data science and innovation. In their most recent position at syniotec, they served as the Head of Data Science and Innovation. In this role, they built a data science team within the company and developed a computer vision and deep learning based microservice for damage detection on construction equipment. Dierck also successfully acquired publicly funded research projects and provided supervision and mentorship to student research projects and PhD candidates.

Dierck Segelke obtained a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture from Kiel University in the years 2007 to 2010. Dierck continued their studies at the same institution and completed a Master's degree in Agriculture from 2010 to 2011. Subsequently, they pursued a PhD in Agriculture at Kiel University, which they successfully obtained between 2011 and 2015.
