Lead Hardware Systems Integration Engineer at Synkar Autonomous

Andre de Mari Barros has a diverse work experience in the field of engineering. Andre is currently employed at Synkar Autonomous as the Lead Hardware Systems Integration Engineer, a position they have held since February 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Powertrain and Battery Systems Research Engineer at the same company from March 2019.

Before joining Synkar Autonomous, Andre worked at Facens | Faculdade de Engenharia de Sorocaba from February 2018 to February 2021 as a Project Analyst. During their time there, they founded a research group on autonomous vehicles and supported various projects related to leadership, management, electrical, computing, and production engineering. Andre also played a role in implementing new technologies and providing technical advice for research and development of autonomous and electric cars.

In 2016, Andre had an internship at Ford Motor Company as a Product Development Engineering Intern. Andre was responsible for managing the Brazilian PT NVH tests' agenda and developed a communication tool to standardize communication among areas. Andre also supported the development and implementation of the Ford North America PT NVH test request software.

In 2015, Andre worked as a Visiting Scholar at The Ohio State University, where they conducted advanced research on an electrical engineering project related to PMDC motor and electric trucks.

Andre's work experience began in 2013 at Steel Design, where they worked as a Development Technician Intern.

Andre de Mari Barros has a diverse educational background. In 2018, they pursued a Data Science Specialization (post-graduation) course at Centro Universitário Facens, which they completed in 2019. Prior to that, from 2012 to 2017, they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from the same institution.

In 2014, Andre spent a year as a non-degree international student at the Florida Institute of Technology, where they focused on Electrical Engineering. During this time, they also attended the ELS Language Center and obtained proficiency in English for Academic Purposes.
