Felipe S. has a diverse work experience in the field of robotics, artificial intelligence, and technology development. Felipe currently holds the position of Senior Robotics Engineer at Synkar Autonomous since April 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Junior Robotics Engineer at the same company from November 2019 to April 2022.
Felipe also has experience as a Researcher at Centro de Excelência em Inteligência Artificial (CEIA) & Deep Learning Brasil. In this role, they conducted research on artificial intelligence and its applications, including the development of a robot for condominium monitoring, image database construction, computer vision algorithms, and autonomous navigation in urban mobility scenarios. Felipe worked as a Researcher at this company from February 2021 onward. Felipe also served as a Machine Learning Researcher from February 2020 to January 2021.
Furthermore, Felipe was involved in research and development activities at Núcleo de Robótica Pequi Mecânico. Felipe'sresponsibilities included researching visual localization techniques, maintaining a ball detection system using neural networks, and developing an embedded system for robot hardware control. Felipe held the role of Researcher from March 2018 to June 2021 and also served as the Team Captain from November 2018 to October 2019.
Before that, Felipe gained experience at Universidade Federal de Goiás, where they worked on projects related to android application development and thermal measurements. Specifically, they developed an Android application utilizing FLIR One thermal camera for power transformer diagnostics. Felipe worked as a Tecnológica Initiation and Project Oriented during their time at the university from March 2018 to July 2019.
Among their early career experiences, Felipe worked as a Systems Developer at Supera Tecnologia. Felipe'sduties included web systems and Lotus Notes development, as well as developing hybrid applications using the Ionic Framework. Felipe held this position from March 2017 to September 2017.
Felipe S. completed their Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from Universidade Federal de Goiás, from 2015 to 2020. Felipe then pursued further studies and obtained a Master's degree in Computer Science from the same university, from 2022 to 2024. In addition to their academic qualifications, Felipe also earned a certification in "Fundamentals of Accelerated Computing with CUDA C/C++" from the NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute in March 2021.
