Urs von Wartburg

Urs von Wartburg is an experienced financial executive with a diverse background in various industries. Urs is currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at SYNLAB Suisse SA, where they are responsible for overseeing finance, controlling, procurement, warehousing, and business intelligence. Prior to this role, Urs worked as a Controller during a sabbatical period. Urs has also held leadership positions at RUAG MRO International and RUAG Division Aviation, where they served as the VP of Finance & IT. At ABB Schweiz AG, Urs was the Global Business Unit Controller and held the position of Project Manager for the "One Simple ABB" initiative. Urs also served as the Country CFO for ABB Holdings Sdn Bhd and its subsidiary companies in Malaysia. Urs has a proven track record in financial management and has successfully led major projects and divisions throughout their career.

Urs von Wartburg attended Kantonsschule Solothurn in Switzerland from 1977 to 1984, where they obtained a Matura Typ B degree, which is equivalent to High School with Graduation. Following this, from 1985 to 1990, they pursued their higher education at the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland. During their time there, they achieved a degree known as Lic. oec. HSG, which is equivalent to a Master of Business & Commerce. Urs majored in Human Resources.
