Kaarina Langel

Kaarina Langel is an experienced chemist with a diverse background in forensic toxicology, research, and education. Currently employed at SYNLAB Suomi as a chemist since December 2020, Kaarina previously held the position of forensic toxicologist at the National Institute for Health and Welfare from January 2017 to December 2020, following roles as a researcher and visiting researcher within the same organization. Kaarina has contributed to significant EU projects involving drug analysis and scientific publications and has provided instruction in laboratory sciences at Helsinki Metropolia University of Applied Sciences. Additional experience includes summer trainee positions focused on geochemical analysis and chemical safety examinations, along with a role as an R&D chemist at Stora Enso. Kaarina holds an M.Sc. in Analytical Chemistry from Teknillinen korkeakoulu and is currently pursuing degrees in Pharmacy and Business Information Technology.
