Patrice LaGrand, LMSW has a diverse work experience which includes positions in both academia and social work. Patrice began their career in 1998 as a Family Service Worker at Washtenaw County Head Start. In 2006, they moved to Neighborhood Senior Services as a Resource Advocate. In 2009, Patrice began working at Eastern Michigan University as a Field Placement Supervisor for the School of Social Work and Aging Studies Program. In 2019, they returned to Eastern Michigan University as a Part-time Lecturer, and also began working at Glacier Hills Senior Living Community as a Social Worker. Most recently, in 2020, Patrice began working at Synod Community Services as the Strategic Program Director.

Patrice LaGrand, LMSW, obtained their Master’s Degree in Mental Health/Geriatric Social Work from the University of Southern California in 2017. Patrice received their Bachelor of Science in Social Work from Eastern Michigan University in 2006. Prior to that, they earned their Associate of Arts in Human Services, General from Washtenaw Community College in 2002. In addition, they hold certifications from LinkedIn in Align Recruiting with Job Requirements and Recruiting Foundations: Recruiting for In-House Recruiters, both obtained in October 2021.
