Crystal Bleecher

Crystal Bleecher, PE has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Crystal is currently serving as the Vice President of Engineering at Synonym. Prior to this, they worked at Merrick & Company from 2012 to 2022, where they held the position of Senior Process Engineer. During their time at Merrick & Company, Crystal was responsible for developing process engineering designs for large capital bioprocessing projects. Crystal managed a team of engineers and oversaw various aspects of project implementation such as P&IDs, process simulations, equipment sizing calculations, and cost estimation.

Before joining Merrick & Company, Crystal worked as a Process Manager at Pursuit Dynamics plc (PDX) from 2011 to 2012. In this role, they supported the installation and commissioning of Ethanol Reactor Systems in corn ethanol facilities. Crystal also analyzed process data and optimized the cook process using Design of Experiments testing and statistical models.

Crystal's earlier work experience includes roles such as Field Service Process Engineer II at Coskata from 2009 to 2011, Process Development Engineer at Nanosphere Inc from 2007 to 2009, Engineer at Maetrics from 2006 to 2007, and Engineer at Bechtel Bettis Inc from 2001 to 2002.

Crystal Bleecher, PE received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in 2005. Prior to that, they attended Bedford-North Lawrence High School.
