Phillip Crawford

Phillip Crawford, P.E., PMP has a diverse work experience in the engineering field. Phillip is currently working as the Associate Director of Project Engineering at Synonym. Prior to this, they held the position of Associate Director, Pilot Plant at C16 Biosciences and was responsible for managing the pilot plant operations. Phillip also worked as the Pilot Plant Manager at C16 Biosciences. Before joining C16 Biosciences, Phillip was associated with NOVAVAX INC where they served as a Senior Project Engineer and a Senior Bioprocess Engineer. Phillip has also worked at Impossible Foods as a Senior Process Engineer and Process Engineer II. Their earliest experience was at Genentech where they held the position of Purification Process Engineer II (DS MSAT) and was responsible for leading various purification processes. Phillip started their career as a Graduate Research Assistant at Georgia Institute of Technology. Phillip also gained valuable experience as a Downstream DS MSAT Intern at Genentech.

Phillip Crawford, P.E., PMP holds a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology. Phillip is currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering from the same institution. Additionally, Phillip is enrolled in the UC Berkeley Extension Certificate Program in Project Management, which they will complete in 2023. Phillip has also obtained certifications as a Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute in 2023 and as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) from the California Board of Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors, and Geologists in 2016.
