Gunther Siegel

Gunther Siegel is a seasoned professional in the field of computer science with extensive experience in research and development, management, and engineering. Currently serving as Senior Director of R&D at Synopsys Inc since July 2025, Gunther has previously held prominent positions at ANSYS, Inc. from September 2013 to July 2025, including Embedded Software Product Line Manager and VP of Engineering. Prior experience includes roles at Esterel Technologies as VP of Engineering, Strategic Project Manager, and CTO, as well as Department Manager and Consultant at Simulog. Gunther began a career in research at INRIA Sophia Antipolis from 1994 to 1997, culminating in a PhD in Computer Science. Educational qualifications also include an Engineer's degree in Computer Engineering from ESSI and a DUT in Computer Science from Aix-Marseille University.
