João Marcos

João Marcos is a Director of R&D in ASIC digital design at Synopsys, bringing over 18 years of experience in the semiconductor industry. They began their career as a Trainee at Chipidea and subsequently worked as a Digital Design Engineer at MIPS Technologies. Throughout their tenure at Synopsys, João progressed from Senior Digital Designer to Manager and then to Director, leading teams on HDMI and DPHY product lines and serving as a digital/mixed-signal system architect. They also lectured Physics at FEUP for first-year engineering students in 2005 and hold a Licenciature in Electronics and Computing Engineering from the Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto.
