Pedro Maia Alves

Pedro Maia Alves is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in hardware and software development within the telecommunications and optical networking fields. Since September 2014, Pedro has served as the Manager of Project Engineering and System Assembly for Analog IP at Synopsys Inc., following a role as Project Engineering Manager. Previous positions include Senior Engineer at Coriant GmbH & Co. KG, leading embedded software development for optical equipment, and Transponders HW/SW Team Leader at Nokia Siemens Networks, where oversight of development for transponders in DWDM networks was executed. Earlier roles at Siemens and Chipidea focused on hardware engineering and analog design for telecommunications. Pedro holds a Master of Science in Electronics and Computers from Instituto Superior Técnico and a Graduate degree in the same field from the same institution.
