Alex Cardell

Alex Cardell is an experienced finance professional currently serving as the Director of Strategic Finance at Synovus since June 2022. In this role, Alex leads Strategic Finance support across multiple segments, including Wholesale Banking, Treasury Payment Solutions, and Commercial & Investment Banking, while overseeing the Performance Reporting Power BI-based analytics platform. Previous experiences include serving as VP and Manager of Financial Analytics at First Horizon Bank, where Alex managed a team delivering financial reporting for a $40+ billion segment, and working as an Asset/Liability Analyst at Regions Financial Corporation, following a comprehensive Finance Development Program. Alex holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Auburn University, where academic excellence was recognized as an Honors Scholar.
