James Day

James is currently the Head of Engineering at Synteny since May 2022. Prior to this, he held roles as a Senior Big Data Engineer at comparethemarket.com and a Big Data Engineer at Elsevier. He also gained experience as a Technology Summer Analyst at Goldman Sachs. James holds a Master of Philosophy in Computational Biology from the University of Cambridge and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from UCL. He has a strong technical background in various technologies such as AWS, Terraform, Scala, Spark, Git, Jenkins, and Docker.
