Erica Wood, MA, LPCC-S has extensive work experience in various roles within the mental health and counseling field. Erica currently serves as the Director of Strategic Partnerships & Initiatives at Syntero, Inc. in Delaware & Morrow Counties, a position they have held since July 2018. Prior to this, they worked at Groove, LLC in Design & Technical Services starting in October 2010.

From December 2013 to July 2018, Erica was the Executive Director at Grace Clinics of Ohio, Inc. During their tenure, they successfully grew the budget by over 300% in three years and established new community partnerships to enhance patient care. Erica also raised the salary for two additional staff members.

Erica also had experience as a Private Practice Professional Clinical Counselor at Dublin Counseling & Wellness from September 2013 to June 2014. Before that, they worked as a Psychotherapist in Private Practice at the Counseling Center of Fairfax from September 2007 to February 2010.

Additionally, Erica served as a Contractor-SAT scorer at Pearson Assessments from 2008 to 2009 and as a Special Educator/Art Therapist at Fairfax County Public Schools from August 2004 to June 2007.

Erica Wood, MA, LPCC-S has an extensive education history spanning various fields of study. Erica began their education journey in 1993 and obtained their high school diploma from Portsmouth East in 1997 with a focus on college preparation. Following this, they attended Heidelberg University from 1997 to 2001, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education and Music.

In 2001, Erica Wood pursued further education and enrolled at Lesley University, where they completed a Master of Arts degree in Mental Health Counseling and Expressive Therapy in 2003. During their time at Lesley University, they also obtained certification as a Music Therapist-Board Certified from the Certification Board of Music Therapists in May 2003.

Erica Wood's dedication to learning continued as they pursued postgraduate studies at various institutions. In 2005, they attended George Mason University for postgraduate studies in Education/Teaching of Individuals with Emotional Disturbances. The following year, Erica Wood engaged in postgraduate study at the University of Virginia, focusing on Emotional Disabilities. Additionally, they pursued postgraduate studies in Family and Substance Abuse Counseling at Northcentral University from 2006 to 2007.

Furthermore, Erica Wood recently acquired a Post Graduate Certificate in Student Support from Augustana University (SD) in 2021, specializing in Counselor Education/School Counseling.

Throughout their educational journey, Erica Wood obtained several certifications to enhance their professional expertise. Erica became a Teacher K-8 certified by the Ohio Board of Education in May 2002. In July 2007, they obtained the Professional Counselor certification from the Virginia Board of Counseling. Most notably, Erica Wood achieved the Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor - Supervisor designation from the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, & Marriage and Family Therapist Board in June 2011.
