Ash Ward

Ash Ward is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in the battery industry, currently serving as Chief Technology Officer at Syntetica since July 2025. Previously, Ash held the position of Senior Director of Technology Development at Northvolt, a European manufacturer dedicated to sustainable lithium-ion battery solutions. Prior to that role, Ash led battery development at Sila Nanotechnologies Inc. and held various positions at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, including Postdoctoral Fellow. Ash began an academic journey as a Graduate Student Researcher at UC Berkeley, culminating in a PhD in Chemistry, following a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from George Washington University.
