Bhargavi Jayaraman

Bhargavi Jayaraman has extensive work experience in the field of scientific research and academia. Bhargavi currently holds the position of Principal Scientist at Synthekine, joining the company in July 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Scientist at Synthekine from March 2020 to August 2022.

Before joining Synthekine, Bhargavi worked as a Scientist at Biodesy, Inc. from February 2019 to March 2020.

Bhargavi's earliest work experience dates back to their time at Cornell University, where they served as a Graduate Student Researcher from September 2001 to August 2007. During this time, they conducted biochemical and biophysical characterization of the human cytoskeletal adapter protein, Ezrin. Bhargavi also took on teaching assistant roles and mentored both graduate and undergraduate students.

Following their time at Cornell, Bhargavi joined the University of California, San Francisco as an Associate Specialist and Postdoctoral Fellow. From September 2007 to December 2018, they focused on an interdisciplinary approach to characterize HIV RNA nuclear export. In addition to their research responsibilities, they organized lab responsibilities and mentored fellow researchers and students at various academic levels.

Bhargavi Jayaraman attended National Public School for an unknown period of time. Bhargavi then went on to receive their Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology from Anna University from 1997 to 2001. Later, they pursued their Ph.D. in Biochemistry at Cornell University from 2001 to 2006.
