Somya Singh

Somya Singh is a Scientist II in Protein Engineering at Synthekine since November 2021, previously holding the position of Scientist I in the same field. Experience includes postdoctoral research at Cornell University from 2017 to 2018, focusing on low temperature effects on casein kinase mutants and biomass quantification. Prior to that, Somya was a Research Associate at the National Institute of Plant Genome Research (NIPGR) from 2016 to 2017, specializing in epigenomics of rice varieties and next-generation sequencing protocols. Somya earned a Ph.D. from Delhi University, conducting research on transgenic methods for frost resistance in Indian Mustard, and holds a Master of Science degree from the same institution.
